CARE INSTRUCTIONS
CUTTING & CHARCUTERIE BOARDS
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with soap and water.
- Towel dry immediately after washing to decrease the likelihood of warping. Never put in dishwasher!
MAINTAINING
When your board becomes grainy or loses its luster
- Clean your board, towel dry immediately, and let it sit upright until all of the moisture evaporates.
- Optional: Very lightly hand sand your board with 600 grit sandpaper, then clean and dry fully.
- With a lint-free cloth, rub in a thin coat of Al’s Food-Safe Finish (included). Let dry fully. This could take a day or two depending on the humidity.
- Treat again every few months or as needed to maintain the protective finish.
KNIFE STRIPS
Cleaning
- If you can see visible marks on your strip, wipe with a damp cloth and towel dry immediately. Never put in dishwasher!
- If you still see marks, use a sponge with soapy water and dry immediately.
MAINTAINING
If you still see marks, you may want to add a coat of Al's Food-Safe Finish (included). You can do this with the strip still mounted on the wall, since you don't need to cover the back, if you like.
- Clean your strip, towel dry, and let all of the moisture evaporate.
- Optional: Very lightly hand sand your board with 600 grit sandpaper, then clean and dry fully.
- With a lint-free cloth, rub in a thin coat of the finish on the front and sides of the strip. Let dry fully before putting knives back on it. This could take a day or two depending on the humidity.

COASTERS
Cleaning

MAINTAINING
If you still see marks, or if the finish feels thin, you may want to add a coat of Al's Food-Safe Finish (included). You may want to remove the cork pads from the bottom so you can clean and refinish that side, too, but this isn't necessary.
